Silva is an assistant and doctoral candidate with Prof. Dr. Claus Jacobs. Her research focuses on the experiences of refugees and volunteers as well as the role of Swiss non-profit organizations in the field of migration/inclusion. She holds a Master's degree in Changing Societies (Resources - Conflicts - Migration) and worked for several years at an international funding foundation, where she worked closely with international NGOs.
In her free time, Silva can often be found outdoors in nature, in the mountains, playing sports and with her son. In addition to her work, she continues to train in environmental education and is involved in various social and sustainable projects on a voluntary basis.
