Lorenza Micacchi is currently doing her Doctorate under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Adrian Ritz since September 2023. Her dissertation project mainly focuses on the conceptual development of Public Service Motivation. Before starting her doctorate, she had been a lecturer and researcher at Bocconi University for five years. Besides Public Service Motivation, her research interests involve Human Resource Management in the public sector, including, among others, employer branding and performance appraisal.
She received her Bachelor's Degree from LUISS Guido Carli in Rome in management, and then she completed her Master's Degree at Bocconi University in Economics and Social Sciences. During her Master's Degree, she did an internship at the European Commission and at the Joint Inspection Unit of the UN. Afterwards, before starting her career as a researcher, she worked as a consultant on projects for several Italian Public Administrations.
